The director of the hospital Shlomo More Youssef told journalists that "the night passed without changes. All health indicators were checked including blood pressure, brain pressure, and all were stable and normal, and this is positive."

He added that the medical team will decide whether he will be subjected to a new test this morning to evaluate the extend of damage in the brain.

The doctors of Sharon who stayed in the intensive care unit in hospital described his case on Thursday as stable, though it was difficult after the doctors succeeded in an operation that lasted 7 hours to halt a brain hemorrhage.

Haaretz today reported that "Sharon's doctors acknowledged Thursday night that Sharon has probably suffered irreversible brain damage that would preclude his ever resuming office," while indicating that Sharon will be under sedation until Sunday to give his brain a chance to rest from the severe bleeding, and that until then, no one really knows his exact condition.
