Egypt's prime minister resigns
The Egyptian government of Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif has resigned. Magdy Radi, the official Egyptian cabinet spokesman said the government is doing its assignments as usual, denying reports on a constitutional crisis as a result of the resignation.
Radi was quoted saying "the current government is doing its job under assignments from President Hosni Mubarak until the new government has been formed."
In a press conference, the official cabinet spokesman said the formation of the new government would be declared late this month or early next month as formerly declared by President Mubarak, an official report noted in which Radi urged the media "not to preoccupy the public opinion with incorrect news on unconstitutionality of the current government. He said work is continuing in all ministries."
