Golan annexation anniversary: Our identity is a Syrian Arab

Originally published

A statement from the Syrian people in the occupied Golan Heights on the occasion of the 24th annexation anniversary of the occupied Syrian lands on Friday reaffirmed their allegiance and cling to their "homeland Syria."

In a statement, the people of the Golan reiterated continued rejection of the Israeli decision and not to recognize it, stressing commitment to the "homeland Syria" as the "only commitment" they have, and that they have only but the "Syrian Arab identity" and the Golan will be only "a Syrian Arab."

The statement referred that "the annexation decision embodied the nature of the Zionist settlement project which aims at confiscating more Arab lands," denouncing simultaneously the pressures targeting Syria and the "vigorous attempts to destroy her national stances."
