Speaker underlines Syria's cooperation with UN investigation

Speaker of the People's Assembly Mahmoud al-Abrash stressed Tuesday that Syria is fully cooperating with the international investigation Committee into the assassination of Lebanese former Premier Rafiq Hariri.

"Syria cooperates with the Mehlis (UN) team in a professional way, and in a manner that contributes to reaching truth which comes in the interest of Lebanon and Syria, away from the political use of the Committee's mission which targets stability of the region," Abrash said during a telephone call with his Algerian counterpart Abdulkadir Bin Saleh.
