al-Thawra: Germany hands Syria stolen ruins

Syria's Ambassador to Germany, Hussein Omran, pointed out to the fruitful cooperation between Syria's diplomatic missions and Ministry of Culture and the German authorities to return the stolen Syrian ruins, al-Thawra daily said Sunday.

It pointed out that the archeological collection includes large number of golden, silver and bronze coins from the Roman and Islamic eras.

The collection also includes mud toys, religious amulets, stone tools, glass cups, bronzy crosses and cuneiform paintings.

The Syrian archeological collection was seized on the borders between Germany and Switzerland.
