Lawyer in trial of Saddam Hussein kidnapped

Iraqi security sources said that gunmen detained the lawyer for one accused men who are currently tried with the toppled Iraqi president in al-Dajil case.

Gunmen riding two cars raided the office of lawyer Sadoun Antar al-Janabi in al-Shaab area, northeast of Baghdad on Thursday evening, and took him to an unidentified destination.

The sources explained that al-Janabi is the lawyer for Awad Hamad al-Bander, the chief former judge in the revolutionary court at the time of Saddam Hussein and he is tried at the same time with Saddam Hussein.
