Syrian minister of interiorÊcommits suicide

The Syrian official News Agency SANA announced that the Syrian minister of the Interior, Ghazi Kanaan, who is former official for the Syrian military intelligence in Lebanon committed suicide in his office today ( Wednesday) before noon but gave no details on the suicide operation and its implications.

This development came, only few days from the date when the UN investigation committee in the assassination of the former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri is presumed to submit its report to the UN Security Council.
