UN Security Council condemns attack on Lebanese media woman

The UN security council on Wednesday condemned the assassination attempt which claimed the life of the Lebanese media woman Mai Shidyak saying that the "international community will not permit the executors of these crimes to destabilize stability, sovereignty and national unity in Lebanon."

A statement added that the UN Security Council "encourages all member states which can meet any demands for help in this respect, proposed by the Lebanese authorities."
