Syrian- Lebanese relations are typical: Lahoud
President Emile Lahoud of Lebanon said Tuesday that Syrian-Lebanese relations were and still typical between two neighboring states that share a lot of common denominators.
"Leaderships in both countries aspire for what embodies the will of the two brotherly peoples to continue distinguished relations between them," President Lahoud said in a meeting with a number of Lebanese ministers and politicians.
"What joins Lebanon and Syria is a firm stance of fraternity and mutual respect which preserve the interests of both countries," He added.
Lahoud noted that the current conditions require a high level of national responsibility, particularly because latest crimes and assassinations stress that the conspiracy targeting Lebanon doesn't differentiate between one side and another.
