Baz: Israel's policy would never do Israel or its people any good
Egypt's Presidential Political Advisor Osama Al-Baz Saturday said regarding Israeli's assassination of Palestinians, that such policy does not help at all in confidence building, pointing out that the fact that Israel demands halting violence by some factions while attacking the Palestinians does not make any sense.
Israel should refrain from acts of violence against the Palestinians, pointing out that it would be difficult for the Palestinian leadership now to exercise pressure on the Palestinian factions so as to get them stop acts of violence, he said.
He said that such policy would never do Israel or its people any good. Israel should be aware of this fact before it is too late, he added.
He referred to Israeli denial of Hamas'right to take part in the negotiations, accusing the movement of resorting to violence at a time when Israel is launching acts of violence against dozens of Palestinian civilians.
Asked about normalization of relations with Israel, he said Israel should never expect normalization from the Arab world before it pulls out from the territories occupied in 1967 including the entire West Bank and East Jerusalem, the Golan Heights, Shebaa Farms and the establishment of a Palestinian State.
