Guardian: UK, US objectives on democracy in Iraq changing

The British daily the Guardian said that diplomats at the British foreign office are working in secret to draw what they called a withdrawal option from Iraq. The paper quoted a source at the British foreign office as saying that "the aim of the American administration is to convert Iraq into a typical example for democracy in the Middle East was put on the shelve, and we will accept a fragile Iraqi democracy behind us."
