Mrs. Mubarak meets 30 Sudanese trade unionists
Egypt's First Lady, Suzanne Mubarak, on Tuesday praised what she described as the unprecedented role played by Egyptian women during Egypt's first contested elections on September 7.
Speaking to a 30-member delegation of Sudanese trade unionist leaderships, currently visiting Cairo, Mrs Mubarak said she felt really proud to see hundreds of thousands of women of all age groups head to the polling stations across Egypt to cast their votes driven by their sense of responsibility and by a feeling of the importance of their involvement in the country's political life and in determining its future. The Sudanese team that is led by Mrs Neamat Ahmed Hassan, the Secretary of the Sudanese Trade Union, expressed congratulations to President Hosni Mubarak for his election victory.
