Arab media on the US accusation against syria
UAE paper al-Bayan rejected Wednesday the US accusations against Syria saying that the US administration is throwing accusations against Syria to cover the sequent security setbacks in Iraq.
"They are diverting the attention of the American people away from internal frustrations that are facing Bush administration," al-Bayan said.
The paper went on saying that the US administration intended to escalate accusations against Syria particularly during the last two weeks in order to cover the complaint accompanied with Katrina catastrophe and reply to those who oppose US military existence in Iraq.
On the other hand, Egyptian daily al-Ahram noted that US current escalation against Syria is directly connected with regional interactions particularly on the Iraqi arena.
"It is also tied with the USA's failure to stop the Iraq resistance against its military forces in Iraq," the paper added.
