Syria's first metal sheets production and coating plant

Syria's Minister of Industry, Mohammed Ghazi Tayyara, opened yesterday the first plant of its kind in the Middle East for production and coating of metal sheets.

Tayyar said that the plant which is owned by a private company is considered as a new development in sphere of industry.

Director of the plant, Mohammed Moummtaz Daaboul said that the plant will provide the raw materials for many industries and will save hard currencies and create many jobs.

The capacity of the plant mounts to 33 thousand tons of Aluminum rolls with a speed of 70 meters per a minute.
