Syria, Kuwait agrarian cooperation

Syria's Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Adel Safar stressed during a meeting Monday with Head of the Plantation Resources Department in Kuwait Jaza Saad al-Rajihi importance of agriculture relations between the two states and necessity of enhancing bilateral cooperation in this field.

The Minister expressed his Ministry's readiness to offer needed assistance in the agrarian field, including technical training of the staff in Kuwait to benefit from the Syrian experience and provide Kuwait with the Syrian high quality agrarian products.

He added that Syria gives special priority to animal resources at this stage as this sector constitutes a prominent factor fro export.

For his part, Mr. Rajihi said his country is looking forward to boosting existing cooperation with Syria to activate the agrarian sector.

He added he is willing to get acquainted with the modern achievements Syria has accomplished in the sector of agriculture to get use of the experience in this area.
