Kiir to visit Egypt next month

Sudan's First Vice-President and head of southern Sudan government Silva Kiir hoped he could visit Egypt following the formation of the interim government in Sudan in September.

In statements on Tuesday, Kiir asserted the strength of the Egyptian-Sudanese relations, noting that the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) maintained very good relations with Egypt. Khartoum and Cairo will work together to boost those ties, he said, asserting that there were no differences marring them.
