Syria and the UNDP to boost cooperation

Grand Mufti of Syria discussed on Tuesday aspects of joint cooperation between the Fatwa house and the United Nations Development Program UNDP. The Mufti underlined that "Islam is concerned with the general benefit as to increase level of man's status in all fields related to his faith and worship."

On the other hand, Minister of State for the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Organization Bashar al-Shaar talked with Zaatari over aspects of cooperation to develop the organization work in emergency and catastrophe fields. The Mufti Sheikh Ahmed Badreddin Hassoun and Resident Representative of the UNDP in Syria Ali Zaatari held talks.
