African Union president Obasanjo in Libya

President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria, the current president of the African Union, left Tuesday Libya after meeting the Libyan Leader Muammar al-Qathafi.

In a statement to JANA before his departure Obasanjo expressed his thanks and appreciation to the leader for this opportunity again to visit Libya "to discuss issues at the level of the African continent as well as international issues," JANA reported.
