Sudan divides ministerial posts among factions
The Sudanese vice president and leader of the people's movement, Sylva Keer, said that his movement got the seats of the foreign ministry and the ministry for Cabinet affairs in the next national unity government according to a peace agreement finalized with the government.
In a press conference in Rambik city on Tuesday, Keer disclosed differences between the movement and the National Congress led by President Omar Hassan al-Bashir on the ministry of energy which he considers as necessary to be assumed by the movement, while the congress will get the ministry of finance.
He also explained that the two sides agreed for the "Congress Party" to have the ministries of the interior and the media, denying that differences over one ministry will bring people back to war, as he alleged.
He also called on the Ugandan al-Rab ( God) party to search for a peaceful settlement for its cause and join negotiations with the government, denying simultaneously his government will play the role of mediator between the Ugandan government and the rebels of al-Rabb party which he had accused of committing what he described as ugly crime in areas of its deployment in the south against civilians.
