Al-Leithi: One million tons Egypt's rice exports

"Egypt does not use any kind of fertilizers in rice agriculture and the soil the rice is grown in is free of any cadmium substances," said Minister of Agriculture Ahmed Al-Leithi.

He added that such agricultural practices had a very positive effect on the exports of rice this year which reached one million tones and sold at the highest international prices.
