NCHR: Freedom of press needed for political reform

The National Council for Human Rights NCHR said that the freedom of press in Egypt is a necessity for achieving progress in the human rights domain.

The council asserted that supporting the freedom of press will help in developing the society and activating the steps of the political and democratic reform.

The council also called for developing the press law and removing the legislative and administrative restrictions so as to cope with the legislative international developments as regards the freedom of expression.
