The Egyptian police continued on Wednesday mopping up operations for mountainous areas in Sinai in search for a list of 15 persons involved in the attacks while continuing investigations in an attempt to discover the identity of the bombers.

Security sources on Wednesday stressed that the investigation authorities suspect that Yousef Muhammad Badran from al-Areesh to be one of the executors of Sharm al-Sheikh attacks.

According to the sources, Badran who has been hiding for months and known for his ties with Islamists members is expected to be the executor of the suicide attack that was made using a booby trapped car against Ghazala hotel in Sharm al-Sheikh.

The security sources added that samples were taken from the blood of Badran's family members to test the DNA and compare it to the DNA of remains found in Ghazala hotel, noting that the results of the test have not yet been finalized.

However, these sources corrected on Wednesday that the suspect is not Youssef Badran, but his brother Mousa Badran, who disappeared since Taba attacks.

Three organizations claimed responsibility for the attacks. After al-Qaida, one unidentified group claimed responsibility for the attacks, calling itself "Egypt's Mujahideen." A third unidentified Islamic group calling itself "the Egyptian al-Tawhid Wal-Jihad group" claimed responsibility for the attacks.
