Originally published

News reports in Khartoum said that a delegation representing the opposition Democratic National Coalition will arrive today to the country led by deputy chairman of the coalition for political affairs Farouk Abu Issa.

This delegation takes part in joint meetings with the Sudanese government in order to complete discussion of items of the Cairo agreement signed between the two sides in June and discussion of pending issues.

It is expected that during this round of talks which will start tomorrow, and last for one week, the file of the opposition national coalition forces in East Sudan will be settled.

Worthy mentioning that the Sudanese government and the opposition national coalition led by Muhammad Othman al-Meirghani signed in Cairo a reconciliation agreement on June 18, attended by the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and the Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir.
