Karami criticizes the pardoning of Jaajaa
Former Lebanese prime minister Omar Karami criticized the pardoning of Samir Jaajaa who was found to be guilty, together with the dissolved Lebanese Forces, in the case of the assassination of his brother the former Lebanese prime minister Rasheed Karami in 1987.
Omar Karami said that he called on Saad al-Hariri, the leader of the largest parliamentary bloc, not to make a distinction between the blood of his father Rafiq al-Hariri and the blood of Rasheed Karami.
The Lebanese information minister Ghazi al-Areidi explained in conclusion of a long parliamentary session on Tuesday that the statement of the Lebanese government gave no mention to UN Security Council resolution 1559, but simultaneously said that Lebanon will honor international resolutions, and that the weapons of the Lebanese resistance is the subject of an inter-Lebanese national dialogue.
