Algerian NGO delegation to visit IER

An Algerian human rights NGO delegation is due to visit Morocco's Equity and Reconciliation Commission (IER) headquarters part of a study visit to Morocco, said an IER communique.

Initiated by the Freedom House organization, the International Center for Transitional Justice and the Arab Institute for Human Rights, the visit will be an opportunity to give the Algerian delegation an overview of the Commission's experience, objectives and methods. IER was created at the beginning of 2004 with the mission of seeking out-of-court settlement of past human rights violations.
