Jaafari is once again in Kuwait
The Iraqi prime minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari arrived in Kuwait on Wednesday in a short visit, which is his second within days. It is due that al-Jaafari will hold during this visit pertaining to closing pending issues between the two states and means of developing bilateral relations. Upon his arrival he met with the Kuwaiti deputy premier Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and several Kuwaiti ministers and officials.
The visit of the Iraqi official to Kuwait coincides with demands in Iraq for the UN compensation committee in Geneva to end a program that provides for paying compensation for damages resulted from the invasion of Kuwait in 1990 and the Gulf war of 1991.
