Arab fund to cooperate with Syria

Director of the Arab Fund Jasem Mannai on Monday underlined the Fund commitment to cooperate with Syria to help activate ties with Arab financial institutions and enable Syria make use of its activities.

"Our visit to Syria is an assertion of the continuous communication... we will take part in the Forum of Arab Trade Financing to discuss the possibility for trade, banks, exporters and importers to benefit from the facilities of the Arab trade financing program," the Fund Director said in a statement upon arrival in Damascus.

He added he will hold talks with Syrian officials on the Fund activities and how to offer loans and vocational assistances to help Syria advance its economic reforms during the current stage.

Mannai, along with an accompanying delegation, will be participating in the 2-day Forum of Arab Trade Financing due in Damascus today.
