One of ten Moroccan women to develop breast cancer, specialist
Breast cancer will affect one of ten Moroccan women during their lifetime, said Moroccan cancer specialist, Mounir Bachouchi.
The oncology specialist said at a press conference this type of cancer is the major cause of death among women aged between 35 and 39 and is the most widespread forms of cancers affecting women in Morocco.
He added at a press conference following his participation in the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) last May that only 3,000 cases have been diagnosed and only one third is cured.
The earlier this condition is detected, the better are the chances of cure, he said, stressing the importance of prevention and early diagnosis.
