Chairman of the international investigation committee in the assassination of the former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri started on Wednesday its first mission by visiting the site of the assassination ,at a time when the count down started for the Lebanese elections which starts on May 29 and continues on stages until June 19th.

The German investigator D. Neles, who was working as a chairman of the attorney at the house of the general lawyer in Berlin, told journalists "First I like to be there and to see in my own eyes what had happened."

The UN security council ordered to make independent investigation in April after the UN fact finding commission chaired by the deputy commissioner of the Police, the Irish Peter Fitzgerald concluded that the investigation which Lebanon had made in the killing of al-Hariri was incomplete in many aspects.

The Lebanese opposition held Syria, which had strong political and intelligence presence in Lebanon, responsible for the assassination of Hariri, but Syria had repeatedly denied these accusations.
