Tishrin: Lebanese Minister highlights Syria's Role in Liberating South Lebanon

Deputy Chairman of the Syrian Social National Party and former Lebanese Minister Mahmoud Abdul Khaleq said that Syria's support to the Lebanese national resistance was one of the most important factors which contributed in liberating South Lebanon.

Abdul Khaleq added in a statement published Tuesday in the daily newspaper Tishrin, that May 25 is day of liberating south Lebanon from the Israeli occupation, stressing that this event had great political and intellectual effect for all liberation movements in the world.

He pointed out that culture and willingness to resist were main factors which achieved the liberation, in addition to the people's belief in their legitimate issue and rights.

"Arm of the resistance is a guarantee for Lebanon, and protecting resistance is connected to Lebanon's existenceÉ and every country seeks to strengthen itself must have the ability to face the challenges," he concluded.
