Director General of the Commercial Bank of Syria (CBS) Duried Dergham announced Monday that the bank will launch preliminary experiments during the coming week to use the pre-paid cards for foreign comers to Syria through the border pass of Nasseb in southern Syria.

"The passenger could use those cards whether at an Automatic Transfer Machine ATM available along border points or at any of ATMs existed all over Syrian cities," Dergham added in a statement to SANA.

"The number of customers is remarkably increasing at several CBS branches after the administration began implementing the new work shift hours which paved the way for competition with keeping on the services quality," he said.

He expressed pleasure over the first encouraging outcomes and the positive response of the bank dealers to the new work shifts which last from 8 a.m to 8 p.m with two shifts.

"The new work schedule has facilitated banking transactions in a more flexible way if compared with the previous period when clients were obliged to fulfill their transactions between 9 a.m and midday," director of CBS added.
