Webster dictionary slammed for 'false allegations against Moslems'
The Rabat-based Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has criticized the new edition of Webster dictionary for its "false allegations against Arabs and Moslems who were depicted in a very abject way."
ISESCO's Secretary General, Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, has addressed a letter to the editor of Webster wherein he denounces a "serious undermining of Islam," said a release of the Islamic organization, an offshoot of the Organization of the Islamic Conference.
The ISESCO called on the editor to correct the "errors and false allegations on Islam, Arab and Moslems," saying they are contrary to "international law and to academic and scientific ethics."
Altwaijri also urged Webster's editor to present excuses to Moslems worldwide.
