Comprehensive reform to the education system in Qatar

The government of Qatar launched a comprehensive initiative to reform the educational system under the title "education for a new phase" with the objective to cope with successive developments in this field at the world level.

The new system states to found new commissions to assume the mission of development and reforms under the supervision of the higher council for education which is chaired by Qatar's crown prince Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad al-Thani.

This initiative which started in May 2001 is considered the corner stone in the efforts of comprehensive development in Qatar at a time when all developing countries seek to boost education as the basic level for progress.
