Lebanese liberation and development bloc for good relations with syria

Lebanese Parliamentary Liberation and Development Bloc on Monday called for maintaining the Syrian-Lebanese distinguished relations based on coordination, cooperation and brotherhood treaty signed between Syria and Lebanon.

Lebanese Deputy Anwar Khalil said, following the Bloc's meeting with Lebanese-designate Prime Minister Najib Miqati, that his bloc demanded the forthcoming government to protect the resistance's arms as a factor of force for Lebanon to guarantee its independence and complete the liberation of its occupied lands.

For its part, the Democratic Party in Lebanon stressed the importance of maintaining the Lebanese national resistance and its strategic role in liberating the Lebanese territories.

The party also called upon all Lebanese people to close ranks behind the resistance which liberated the biggest part of South Lebanon from the Israeli occupation.
