Syria's Defense minister: We seriously implements UN resolutions
Syria's Defense Minister Lieu. Gen. Hasan Turkmani on Thursday criticized the United Nations for not condemning the military superpower policies, which unilaterally and selectively apply pressure on other countries.
"Syria, by words and deeds, works seriously and clearly with all sides to implement the international organization resolutions, disregarding the way and circumstances through which they were issued," Turkmani said during a celebration of graduating a batch of Military Academy officers.
He added that "Syria's stances are very clear," underlying that "threats and pressures will not affect its honorable pan-Arab stances."
"Syria is stretching hands to reach a just and comprehensive peace that restores the occupied Arab lands, and Syria will continue combating terrorism, distinguishing it from the legitimate right of resisting occupation," Minister Turkmani said.
He referred to the "courageous role of Syrian troops in Lebanon," adding that "Syria has been able to implement missions to stop war, divisions and the bloody conflicts in Lebanon."
