The outline of the distribution of posts in Iraq
Shiite official Jawad al-Malki said the Iraqi persident will be Kurdish and will have two deputies one is Shiite and the second is Sunni. The speaker of the Iraqi parliament will be Sunni and the post of the prime minister will be for Ibrahim al-Jafaari ( Shiite).
These hopes came under the failure of the national society to reach an agreement among its members on the formation of a presidential council for the country.
On the atmospheres of negotiations between the Shiite and Kurdish sides, the leading figure in the Kurdistani National Union party Foaud Kamal, led by Jalal al-Talibani, said that "talks are proceeding in a good way and in positive atmospheres." He added that negotiators agreed on the proposals of the Kurds concerning the two issues of Karkouk and the Bashmerga Kurdish militia, but these are to be solved within the state administration law in the Interim phase.
As for the posts the Kurds got so far, Kamal added "we guaranteed the post of the designated president for the Kurdish bloc Jalal al-Talibani."
The consultations over the formation of the new government coincided with the announcement of the American embassy in Baghdad that ambassador John Negrobonty left from Baghdad for Washington to assume his new mission to run the national intelligence after he had worked for nine months as an ambassador for his country in Iraq.
