Bush rejects incomplete measures in the Syrian pull out from Lebanon
On the first American reaction to the possibility of a Syrian partial withdrawal from Lebanon, the US President George W. Bush renewed his demands of immediate withdrawal for the Syrian forces from Lebanon, refusing what he described incomplete measures.
Bush considered that the process of the Syrian withdrawal from the Lebanese territories is not negotiable. He expressed his conviction that free and transparent elections in Lebanon can not be ensured in May this year under the Syrian military presence.
