Israel vows to establish diplomatic relations with 10 Arab states in 2005
Israel hopes to cultivate diplomatic fruits after its decision to withdraw from Gaza as from July 20 this year, reflected in establishing diplomatic relations with 10 Arab states, at least.
Israel has full diplomatic relations with three Arab states, namely Egypt, Jordan and Mauritania. The two latter states returned back their ambassadors after they withdrew them by the end of 2000 in protest of the Israeli oppressive practices against the Palestinian Intifada.
According to statements by its officials, Israel seeks to re-establish relations with four states it used to have representational relations with. This, however, is in remarks to each of Morocco, and Tunisia which has two representation offices in Israel and Oman and Qatar which have economic representation offices in Israel.
