Nazif: Egyptian market opens for all investors
Egypt's Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif said that the Egyptian market was open for all local and foreign investors to start business in Egypt without restrictions.
Nazif, in his speech at the inaugural session of the international conference on emerging money markets, which opened in Cairo on Saturday, asserted that the government is fully confident that the money market was one of the major attractors of foreign investments into Egypt.
The Egyptian money market is now applying all international criteria on transparency for luring more investments into Egypt.
Nazif highlighted on this score the Egyptian government's economic reform measures for encouraging investors to operate in Egypt.
The two-day gathering is held in Egypt for the first time under the auspices of the international organization of emerging money markets.
Chairman of the Egyptian Money Market Authority, Abdel Hamid Ibrahim, in his speech to the conference, noted that the Egyptian money market is now adhering to the international criteria applied to other money markets.
He added that the conference is invested with special importance as its convocation in Cairo testifies to the importance of the Egyptian money market.
Representatives of as many as 46 countries are taking part in the two-day conference.
