Suez Canal records highest revenue since its inauguration

Egypt's Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Ahmed Fadel said that the canal achieved in November the highest monthly revenue since its inauguration collecting about $ 270 million in transit fees.

In press statements on Wednesday, Fadel said that the number of ships that transited the canal in November reached 1,464 with an average of 49 ships a day and cargoes estimated at 53 million tons.
