Gul highlights Syrian-Turkish relations

Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul described Syrian-Turkish relations as excellent and in constant progress in all fields.

Gul told a news conference with his Italian counterpart Gianfranco Fini that all issues go very well between Syria and Turkey for the best benefit of the two countries.

The Turkish Minister asserted Syria's important role in the Middle East as a key and major partner in the peace process in the region.

For his part, Fini called on the international community to advance the Middle East peace process ahead, pointing out to Syria's credibility in this regard.
