Atomic energy commission- meets in Damascus

The Syrian Atomic Energy Commission ( SAEC), with the cooperation of the International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA), is going to organize Saturday a regional coordination meeting on the implementation of the two typical projects titled "National Programs for Supervised Control and Vocational Protection from Radiation."

The meeting will be attended by representatives from West Asia region: Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Uzbekistan, Yemen and Syria.

The participants will discuss the implementation of the two projects regarding the building and improvement of national infrastructure for the protection from radiation as well as for planning for future similar projects and exchange of expertise and information among west Asia countries.
