6.8 million tourists visit Egypt from January to October

Egypt's Chairman of the Tourism Promotion Authority Ahmed Al-Khadem announced yesterday that about 6.8 million tourists visited Egypt from January to October 2004 with an increase of 41 % against the figure of the same period in 2003.

"It is a record bigger than the figure that was scored in 2003, and it is expected to jump to 7.5 million tourists by late next December.
