Iraqi group threatens to attack the American interests in Bahrain

A statement carrying the signature of one Iraqi group and issued on one Islamic website threatened on Wednesday of targeting the American interests in Bahrain.

The statement which bears the signature of "Ansar al-Islam, Bahrain branch" said that the group decided to launch "suicide attacks" targeting the " American non believers ( Kuffar) and their hirelings in the Kingdom of Bahrain."

The statement urged the " believers" not to approach the American embassy and the area where the American ambassador lives and hotels and nightclubs "as well as oil pipelines, Bahrain university, and the fifth American fleet positioned in Bahrain."

The statement added "we renew our loyalty to the great Islamic leader Osama Bin Laden and proceed into the road of Jihad."
