Al-Shara meets with senior Iranian officials

Syria and Iran on Wednesday underlined the significance of coordination and consultation between the two countries in light of the delicate circumstances the region is passing through.

This has come when Chairman of the Iranian Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani received Foreign Minister Farouq Al-Shara in Teheran during which they stressed "the importance of crystallizing a perspective that is adequate with standing challenges in a way that meets the region's peoples aspirations and achieve the two countries interests." Both officials talked about latest developments in the region mainly in Iraq and the occupied Palestinian territories.
