French "Liberation" newspaper said that Israel's Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is under two kinds of pressures from Israeli settlers to stop carrying out the unilateral withdrawal from Gaza and an international pressure from Europe and the U.S. to commit himself to the establishment of two Israeli and Palestinian states.

The daily pointed out to the American President's Bush statement following his reelection in which he stressed the necessity of achieving peace in the Middle East, saying, the daily, that observers see that Bush may be forced to have a little bit stronger approach in the face of Sharon's intransigence.

The daily added that Bush can't gain any progress in Iraq at the time Israel is creating new difficulties for him.
