Continued attacks against Falluja
The American military jet fighters yesterday launched a series of air raids against Falluja city to the west of Baghdad on Monday evening and continued until yesterday morning. No reports were given on the volume of victims or damages resulting from the bombardment.
The American fighters have been launching night raids against Falluja on daily basis, while American and Iraqi forces of 1000 troops are besieging the city since five days, following a warning addressed by the interim Iraqi prime minister Eyad Allawi to the people of Falluja to hand over al-Zarqawi and his followers otherwise face a large- scale attack.
The people of Falluja deny that al-Zarqawi is among them and stress that the bombardment is killing civilians.
On the other hand, the British "International care" relief organization announced that unidentified gunmen kidnapped its director of operations in Baghdad Margaret Hassan Sabbagh yesterday morning giving no details about the incident.
