Some 26 police officers involved in drug case

Some 26 elements of police and gendarmerie were presented Friday to the investigating magistrate of Rabat appellate court for corruption charges, judicial sources said.

The 26 men are involved in the case of "Fatiha Hamoud," alias Jebliya, who was arrested after she was denounced for drug trafficking.

"Jebliya" conducted wide scale operations with impunity because of the protection she enjoyed. She confessed after questioning that she bribed elements of police and gendarmerie and gave them money at a weekly basis to facilitate her operations.
