One British was injured by bullets in Oman
A spokesman for the British embassy in Oman said yesterday that one British citizen was injured as fire was opened on him in one of the residential areas in Muscat on Sunday.
The spokesman explained that the British man had injuries in the back after he was hit by bullets in al-Khweir quarters in Muscat. He said that the "man is now in the hospital and the Omani police is investigating the matter," adding "we do not want to predict over the reasons of ( opening fire) in this phase."
A medical source said the injured man is working in a private clinic. This British is the second westerner to be exposed to bullet fire in Oman. In January, one American was found killed by bullets and the police said later that he was killed by gunmen hired by his wife.
