Lahoud and foreign intervention in Lebanon
Lebanese President Emile Lahoud said on Friday that the aim of the foreign intervention in the Lebanese internal affairs is not the presidential election, but it rather targets the unity of the Syrian-Lebanese stance as well as both states' adherence to the implementation of the international resolutions.
In a speech delivered on his behalf by the Lebanese State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Michel Moussa, at a medical conference, President Lahoud added that the latest UN Security Council resolution 1559 also targets the Lebanese resistance, warning against any intervention in the Lebanese affairs.
